For two weekends in May I'll be showing with two makers whose work I have admired for many years. Syann van Niftrik forges silver and gold into distinctive, unique pieces for personal adornment; often inspired by organic structures and more like wearable sculpture than conventional jewellery.

Nick Barberton works in solid timber, revealing the grain and character of each piece in his tactile chiselled dishes and wall pieces. A boat builder many years ago, Nick's sound understanding of form and structure is evident in his covetable chairs and stools - fabulous to look at and a joy to use.

Syann and Nick have invited a group of highly regarded makers to show with them in their New Forest home, and other studios are open in the village. A visit will not disappoint!
