One of summer’s delights is a visit to The Garden Gallery at Broughton near Stockbridge in Hampshire. Over 25 years owner and curator Rachel Bebb has nurtured and developed her garden to host and display contemporary sculpture and ceramics in the most sympathetic and beautiful setting.
Those represented include recognised ‘names’ and lesser known artists, and there is always a fabulous range of work from large-scale garden or room-defining pieces (the stable makes a perfect indoor gallery) to smaller or quieter works that invite reflection.
I will be delivering a new collection of birdbaths for the exhibition; it is always gives me great pleasure to see them looking so at home in this rather special English country garden.
